So, this is what Amtrak’s top-rank product is like. It’s...very Amtrak. Now, I love Amtrak and I wholeheartedly recommend travelling across America by rail if you have the time.
But, that said, Acela isn’t a good value product. Railways in America (or railroads, even) are still something of a niche pursuit for the enthusiast.
I enjoyed it, but if you’re not a crank like me...you might want to take the plane instead. Sorry!
(New trains are on order for Acela - I’ll be very interested to check those out when they arrive)
