The United States does not do very well based on this table in spite of the highest expenditure per capita on health. Though the 'best' of American health technology is amazing, the access to good healthcare in the United States is seriously deficient. The health situation in the United States is also aggravated by the behaviors of the food industry and the beverage industry which have developed products that are profitable without being in the best interest of the consumers.
