Video ... Intelligence Squared Debate ... The Motion is that the Drones Program is Fatally Flawed

I posed a question at towards the end of the Q&A segment. My question was treated very quickly by the team that won, by simply saying that drones were good at killing the enemy. I found this reponse very much in line with the core problem of American foreign policy ... killing all the enemy and you win the war, but you do not. You have created a new generation of people filled with hate, and in time, there will be pay back.

The military and much of American policy establishment still seem to be in the old Vietnam mindset, where big numbers of 'kill' is an indicator of success. In my view, this is a bad metric and ensures failure in the long run, if not in the short run.
