Job Description The Project Coordinator assists Project Managers (PMs) or Project Management Teams (PMTs) in the oversight and management of the project cycle for commercial solar projects within a given regional site. Responsibilities • Assist in managing the project cycle for PV projects • Help coordinate the design process and permit submittal • Interfacing with customers, customer representatives and field teams regarding various aspects of PV projects • Support Project Managers and Construction Managers to efficiently allocate work load and develop SOWs for subcontracts • Participate in the administration of the bid process for submittal work • Update the project schedule using MS Project • Assist in coordinating key project meetings • Assist in the development of schedules and budgets to meet contract requirements • Other related duties as assigned Requirements • General construction knowledge • Understands and can demonstrate how to manage budgets, scheduling tools and bid process • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Excellent customer service skills required • Familiar with construction subcontracts • BS/BA in engineering, architecture, or construction related discipline • 3 - 5 years of construction related experience - Solar PV preferred • Knowledge of building electrical systems and NEC parameters • Experience working with and managing Matrixed project teams • Certifications: NABCEP and Certified Project Manager (CPM) certification preferred • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal driving and drug screen • Must have valid state driver’s license • Must have clean driving record (example no DUI in last 5 years) Benefits • Paid training with the nation’s leader in solar power and energy efficiency • Full benefits including health, vision, dental insurance • 401k plan and stock options • Career path opportunities for top performers SolarCity is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
