Your invitation to 'Climate change and human health: How business can empower, educate, and build community resilience' with WBA – October 20th Hanna Halmari Unsubscribe 11:54 AM (23 hours ago) to me Dear Peter On behalf of our partner Walgreens Boots Alliance, I am pleased to invite you to the complimentary event ‘Climate change and human health: How business can empower, educate, and build community resilience’ taking place virtually on 20th October at 15.00-18.00 CEST / 14.00-17.00 BST / 08.00-11.00 CDT. You can register for this event by simply completing the form here. More than 230 medical journals have recently published a joint editorial warning governments of the “catastrophic and irreversible” impacts of climate change on human health, urging immediate and drastic climate action. Although it is increasingly clear that the health of the planet and the health of the population are closely interlinked, they are still often treated as separate issues. This event will explore this intersection and delve into the role of business and collaboration in tackling these issues. Throughout a number of dynamic sessions, experts and leading global voices will:
  • Highlight the climate health issues where business can make a difference, assessing what companies are doing today and where the agenda is headed post COP26
  • Explore the role of business and collaboration in building systemic resilience, with a focus on what objectives collaborative initiatives should set and how they should seek to deliver on these
  • Examine how business can educate and enable communities to act and build climate resilience, including a discussion on technology as a tool to empower consumers
Once again, you can register online here. If you are unable to join the full event live, sign up anyway and we’ll send you a recording of the discussions. Please let me know if you have any questions at all. Warm regards, Hanna Halmari -- Hanna Halmari | Project Manager Innovation Forum: events and insight for sustainability hanna.halmari@innovation-forum.co.uk www.innovationforum.co.uk
