Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

Peter,

Last Friday night, Rep. Cori Bush brought a chair and sleeping bag to the U.S. Capitol. As soon as the House adjourned for vacation without passing an extension on the federal eviction moratorium, she decided to stay behind and fight for the 11 million people at risk of losing their homes.

Alexandria joined Cori at the steps of the Capitol for five days — along with hundreds of their colleagues, activists, and organizers — to keep up the pressure and demand that Congress and the Biden administration take action to extend the moratorium.

They were told that it wasn’t possible. But Peter, Cori's organizing worked. Yesterday, the Biden administration announced an extension of the eviction moratorium covering 90% of the U.S. — the areas hardest hit by the pandemic.

This would not have happened without the fearless moral leadership of Cori Bush, or without the dedicated members of our movement who joined Alexandria and Cori at the Capitol steps.

Peter, will you split a $20 contribution today to support our movement and ensure Cori and Alexandria continue fighting for working families in Congress?

This rapid response organizing is only possible because of the funding provided by small-dollar donors like you. Thank you, Peter, for being a part of this work.

Today we celebrate this win, and square our shoulders for the fights to come. Eviction is still a threat to millions more in our country — and we can’t stop until we can guarantee safe, affordable housing for all.

A $20 contribution from you today will ensure that Cori and Alexandria can continue fighting for transformative policy change that protects working families. If you’re able, please split $20 or whatever you can between our campaigns now to power this important work.

Thank you for making this possible,

Team AOC
