WSSCC approved to become the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund
In November 2019, the Steering Committee asked the Secretariat to develop a strategy for the period between 2021 and 2025, including the evolution of WSSCC into a Fund, focused on SDG 6.2 – sanitation, hygiene, and menstrual health and hygiene.
We are pleased to announce that, this week, our new strategy has been approved by our Steering Committee. WSSCC will now begin its transition into the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund. The strategy will come into effect on 1 January 2021. You will find more information about this on our website.
This is an important and exciting new chapter for us. The new Fund will bring together the commitment to continue to serve the world’s poorest and most left behind, with lessons from 30 years of programming and an ambitious strategy to scale up efforts in an unprecedented way, to achieve SDG 6.2.

Le WSSCC devient le Fonds pour l’assainissement et l’hygiène
En novembre 2019, le Comité de pilotage du WSSCC a demandé au Secrétariat d'élaborer une stratégie pour la période de 2021 à 2025, incluant l'évolution du WSSCC en un fonds axé sur l'ODD 6.2 – assainissement, l’hygiène et la santé et hygiène menstruelle.
Nous sommes très heureux d'annoncer que notre nouvelle stratégie a été approuvée cette semaine par notre Comité de pilotage. Le WSSCC va maintenant entamer sa transition vers le Fonds pour l'assainissement et l'hygiène. La stratégie entrera en vigueur le 1er janvier 2021. Il s'agit d'un nouveau chapitre important et passionnant pour nous. Le nouveau fonds réunira l'engagement de continuer à servir les plus pauvres et les plus laissés-pour-compte, avec les leçons clés apprises au cours de 30 ans de programmation nationale, et une stratégie ambitieuse pour intensifier les efforts pour atteindre l'ODD 6.2.
