Hey Peter,
100 years ago this month the US ratified the 18th amendment and officially prohibited the 'manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors.' For 13 years, alcohol was illegal in the United States, something that now feels like a preposterous prohibition... today booze is a $250 billion business.
Comparatively, cannabis has been federally illegal in the US for 83 years. And as you know, the last twenty years have seen some radical changes: California voted to legalize medical marijuana in 1996, Colorado and Washinton legalized recreational marijuana in 2012, and now 11 states and Washington DC have legalized recreational marijuana use and 33 states have legal medical use. We've been following this seachange and are excited to dive deeper into the opportunities of cannabis at RENDER: Power Plant. Tickets and Livestream on sale now: check out the full lineup and agenda at beta.works/powerplant
