Bernie Sanders... voting for Bernie is risking the virulent wrath of the 1% and their cronies who control the major communications channels, the energy - military-industrial complex, and overt corporate energy links and their buried offshore wealth. While I love Elizabeth Warren's policy and programmatic platform (and AOC's New Green Deal) the 1% will stomp both into the ground at all costs ...and while I would gladly vote for either. Sanders is my primary choice to beat Mr. Cheeseburger.
We face two choices in 2020 - bad and worse! Vote for whomever the plutocracy (through the sham of a dual party system) presents to us. Or, take the Progressive ideal Bernie Sander's choice and suffer the enmity of the power elite! This election is risky governance at the extreme.
The risk that we inadvertently and irrevocably destroy our failing country,
The risk that we re-elect a monster
The risk that we lose forever the vision of American exceptionalism and James Madison's Bill of Rights! - Our Constitution.
The risk that our children descend into the caldron of distrust, xenophobia, and reverse hundreds of years of social development
There is only one monster in my nightmares and he is GREED and along with his cousins, Avarice, Chaos, and Pathos, they firmly have gained a grip on the soul of our nation. (a somewhat idealistic but rational alternative) - What in God's name are we to do? I invoke the diety as we cannot seem to help ourselves!
As with all good comedic pundits, Jimmy Dore gives us the prospect of a no-win set of choices. I fully agree with his vision of a derailed democratic government sliding rapidly into a plutocratic and despotic chasm from which we may never extricate ourselves. Please let us consider with all possible deliberation the future of our country - Now is a time for patriots - Now is a time for idealism and yes, we should all be scared.
