Peter,

EPI research is at the forefront of our fight to raise the wages and protect the rights of working people. And it’s being utilized by political leaders, activists, union leaders, journalists and professors alike.

They all rely on EPI’s ground-breaking research.

Whether it’s highlighting the high cost of child care, detailing the outrageous wage gap between CEO pay and the average worker, or documenting the Trump administration’s attacks on workers’ rights, EPI reports and data are essential resources that serve as a roadmap for grassroots activists and elected leaders as we fight together to advance a progressive economic policy agenda.

Donate to EPI today to power the research behind our movement for progressive economic change.

Here’s a quick look at just some of those who are tapping the knowledge of EPI to help power the progressive movement:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted EPI data on the divergence of flat wages vs. increased productivity:

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, tweeted an EPI report on California’s underfunded early child care and education system:

The Washington Post cited EPI data extensively, writing:[1] “Wages at the top of the income distribution continue to rise much more rapidly than wages for everyone else, according to an analysis of the latest federal data by the Economic Policy Institute, a progressive think tank. But the data are just as notable for what they don’t say, according to the report by EPI economist Elise Gould. Increases in wages at the top are outpacing economists’ ability to measure them.”

And that’s not all!

EPI’s thought-provoking research has been used by an increasing number of presidential candidates. Elizabeth Warren has linked to EPI’s interactive state-by-state calculator in her Universal Child Care plan.

Bernie Sanders cited EPI data when he called for a $15 minimum wage that would benefit 40 million working people and cited EPI’s Daniel Costa when saying, “we currently spend more than eleven times as much on enforcing immigration as we do enforcing labor standards.”

Kamala Harris has relied on EPI research as she fights for more resources for our teachers.

Donate to EPI today to provide thought leaders, elected officials, activists, and journalists with the data they need to advance our movement for progressive economic change.

Our research and data are at the forefront of the national debate over where our country needs to go.

Donate to EPI today to fund our groundbreaking research that’s a force behind progressive economic policy proposals that shape our country’s future.

In solidarity,

Thea Lee President, Economic Policy Institute
