SIDNEY SUSSEX COLLEGE DECADE REUNION LUNCH

2000 - 2009 and 1959 or before

SUNDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2019

On behalf of the College, I would like to invite you to a reunion lunch at Sidney on Sunday 29 September 2019 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The reunion lunch will be a relaxed affair and will offer the opportunity to catch up with friends, especially those you may have lost touch with, and to meet other alumni with at least one thing in common, a shared experience of Sidney.

This year, we are delighted that Fellow and Admissions Director, Dr Catherine Sumnall (Geography, 2002), will give a talk before lunch entitled 'There's no such thing as sin in the Alps? Births outside marriage in Austria before 1945’ in the Knox-Shaw Room between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. The lecture is open to alumni and guests but, given the capacity limits of the venue, if you would like to attend the lecture, we would be very grateful if you could indicate your intention when you register, using the relevant drop-down option.

The afternoon will also provide a chance to see some of the more recent improvements to the College, none of which would have been possible without the support of our alumni and friends. In 2016, the College completed the conversion of 26-29 Sidney Street to student accommodation and we are currently undertaking an ambitious project to replace and relocate the College kitchens and build an additional dining space that will benefit the whole Sidney community. There will be informal tours of the gardens and buildings so you can see some of the changes for yourself.

Tickets are priced at £20 per person.

Closing date is Friday 6 September 2019

Even if you cannot come back on this occasion, I would urge to you to go to the online booking form to update your contact details and provide us with a 'where are they now' mini-autobiography.

I really do hope you will be able to join us for this reunion – it would be wonderful to welcome you back to Sidney in September.
