Professor McKeon holds a PhD in Finance and a Masters in Economics from Purdue University. His professional experience includes six years as the CFO of a Napa winery, and co-founder of Skyward, a drone software firm that was acquired by Verizon in 2017. His research focuses on cryptoassets, security issuance, and M&A, and has been published in top academic journals as well as media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, and Financial Times. He joined the University of Oregon finance faculty in 2011 where he teaches in the PhD, MBA and undergraduate programs.
