Comcast's latest scam

Comcast's latest scam Inbox x Tiffiniy at FFTF Unsubscribe 12:17 PM (12 minutes ago) to me Hi, Comcast and their allies in Congress are pushing legislation to make it legal for cable companies to collect your personal information off the Internet and sell it to advertisers and data brokers. Your browsing history, geolocation data, financial information—even your social security number could end up for sale if this law passes. Why would anyone support this? Follow the money. Of the bill's 22 cosponsors, Comcast is listed as a top contributor to 17 of them.[1,2] And the advertising industry has joined the lobbying push for the bill as well.[3] Fight for the Future is mobilizing a bipartisan grassroots campaign to fight back against this attack on our privacy. Will you chip in? Yes, I'll chip in to help fight back against Comcast's attack on our consumer privacy. The reason we have the power to stop this bill is because unlike so many other issues, this isn't about right vs. left or Republicans vs. Democrats. Privacy is an issue where conservatives and liberals agree. None of us one want Comcast poking around in our browser history or selling our personal information to data vendors. So Fight for the Future is laser-focused on building the kind of broad, left-right grassroots coalition that will be unstoppable even against an army of corporate lobbyists. But unlike our opposition, we don't have the deep pockets of Comcast and the telecommunications industry to hire lobbyists and buy politicians. We count on donations from you, our members, to allow us to hire the organizers and campaign staff we need to win. Will you chip in to help stop Comcast from collecting your browsing history and personal data?
