Summary Over 25 years of experience in poverty alleviation, women empowerment, labor migration and community development. Diep has been successful in bringing about innovative and effective solutions to difficult problems at appropriate scales, especially in the areas of empowerment and public-private partnerships. Since the early 90s, she has focused her effort on poverty alleviation and community participation for multilateral agencies such as the World Bank, UNDP, and international NGOs. In 2001, Diệp co-founded Pacific Links Foundation and serves as President. Under her leadership, PALS articulates its focus on women empowerment through innovative and grassroots programs, from community leadership to anti-human trafficking. Since 2005, Diệp created and continues to lead ADAPT, designing strategic and innovative solutions and partnerships to prevent trafficking and attracting a diverse base of funders from governments to multinationals to private foundations and individuals. Stateside, she consulted for the County of Santa Clara to build capacity for its nonprofit agencies. She accumulated experience in the private sector through positions with Silicon Valley high tech companies, urban planning firms and financial firms including Morgan Stanley. Diệp is a cum laude graduate of Harvard University in Economics, San Jose State University and pursued her PhD coursework at the University of California, Berkeley.
