Burgess COMMENTARY | ||||
Michael ... as you know there is work going on to prepared the Global Malaria Action Plan #2 ... GMAP2 ... for the upcoming 5 years. I am an old corporate CFO / cost accountant and from what I know about mosquito and malaria control the strategy for GMAP1 disbursed a whole lot of money without accomplishing as much as it should have, and rather little that is sustainable. Though I am not a mosquito/malaria expert (compared to the real experts) I do have some understanding of engineering and science, and it seems to me that the GMAP strategy is being driven more by business opportunity for revenues rather than a social objective of better sustainable health. AM I WRONG?
