Summary
Over the past two decades Wayne has led more than sixty projects in over forty countries across six continents, helping clients to innovate and succeed in difficult and challenging circumstances. His innovation and entrepreneurial skills have been demonstrated across dozens of projects and several start-ups, including one of that was featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
Wayne is an action-oriented and results-driven visionary who has consistently demonstrated an ability to solve complex problems and generate practical results. He is regularly able to develop value alignment across complex stakeholder interests enabling project proponents and stakeholders to find sustainable common ground and move forward. His work has won numerous international awards including the 1st ever private sector winner of the global World Bank Development Award. Other work, includes leading a paradigm-shifting transition that facilitated exponential increases in indigenous business and economic development throughout the Americas. More recently, he has been a practical pathfinder helping businesses to successfully integrate social and economic value creation into their business models.
Wayne is a Professor of Practice in Corporate Social Responsibility at McGill University and is a founding member of the Leadership Council of McGill University's Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID). He is a frequent lecturer worldwide on business and economic issues. He also provides volunteer support to numerous local, national and international organizations. This includes serving 4 years as the Vice-Chairman of the Canadian Council on Africa and on the Board for the University of Winnipeg’s ground-breaking Master’s Program in Development Practice as well as supporting various community and sports organizations. He is a Stanford Sloan Fellow and holds an M.Sc. in Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
