This goal is realised among other things by giving scholarships for participation in or funds for the organisation of mathematical competitions (national and international), by means of the 'Arne Loosveldt Prize', awarded yearly at the Vlaamse Wiskunde Olympiade (Flemish Mathematical Olympiade) and by giving funds for innovative educational practices such as Peer Assisted Learning (PAL). On the basis of 20 years or action research, Flora had developed analytical tools, models and methodologies that allow us to deconstruct the mechanisms of exclusion inherent in the dominant paradigm, and to co-create innovative, 'outside the box' solutions to social and economic needs. Our approach combines gender (the balance and equal valorisation of masculine and feminine roles and values) with systems thinking (the balance between efficiency and resilience) and social innovation.

1. citizens that can think for themselves (instead of following a populist leader),

3. people that take care of their own fitness and health (instead of adopting lifestyles that destroy mental and physical health) and
4.- above all - compassionate people who know that social groups cannot succeed if some of their members are left behind (he did not need Wilkinson and Pickett to know this...)

. I accompanied groups into wilderness settings and adventurous journeys that were designed to instill the above values (the 'four pillars') through an experiential learning process. Moreover, as a cook - cooking for about 100 people a day in a remote wilderness kitchen - I learned to make Montana's Mom's Dynamite Cheesecake. My kids' all time favourite.
