Conversation about how to make contact with SAP

Burgess COMMENTARY

Peter Burgess

Hi Peter, happy to talk but can only spare max 20 min, as i am very involved in a project right now.

maybe prepare the few most important questions.

the development for what u do is done in Germany, in an R&D department.

i took the freedom to send your pdf to a ex-colleague just to have a look if it could be worth sending in and he immediately forwarded to a person called Rüdiger Eichin who works on a concept to develop the req.s and a concept for Integrated Reporting - so you are positioned already right at the heart of things - you can't get any closer to the right guys!

I suggest you look for Ruediger online e.g. on scn.sap.com and start watching his moves, and make yourself known there as a through leader.

also checkout the SAP Mentors in your area, they have quite some influence and are heard by the development,

and there are other groups where to influence and share and learn.

I think better than sending him an email is getting in touch with him as a thought leader in the community…more powerful position…and he might recognise your name from the paper he received.

on the other hand be aware that people have not a lot of time at SAP (like anywhere else nowadays) and he might not have had time to look as he was focussed with other things.

I do not know him personally and do not have an internal user at SAP any more to check him out further.

if you have any other questions, let me know.
