Peter Burgess Peter Burgess Founder/CEO at TrueValueMetrics Jae ... the question is easy to ask, but the answer is not very popular. The accountancy profession ought to have addressed this matter decades ago, but, in my view they dropped the ball about 30 years ago when the profession started to be more business than profession, and many good brains went to sleep.

How do you value important things? There has to be quantification, and that is not easy, but it is not impossible. I want to see a framework of standard value along the lines of standard costs ... and now, courtesy of mobile devices and the Cloud, building this is not particularly difficult. This is at the center of my initiative ... the concept is clear. The conversion to software is a big next step.
