As a Cisco Fellow she gained specialized skills and knowledge in the field of development focusing on the areas of human capacity building, education, ICT4D, Corporate Social Responsibility, social entrepreneurship and culture learning which were used to: • Assist the start up of a NGO called Teachers Without Borders; • Develop One Economy programs in depressed areas in the USA; • Engage in ITU’s Least Developed Countries Initiative helping to address the digital divide in areas of the world suffering from extreme poverty. With the evolution of the Internet, she has been focusing on the design, development and deployment of oneVillage Initiative (OVI) for whole system thinking and collaboration: • Highlights the role of ICT in building a interdisciplinary, bottom up approach • Focuses on critical issues that threaten the viability and stability of global villages; • Provides capacity building services to unleash human potentials and motivation to do good.
