Educated at Cambridge. Engineering, economics and accountancy. Corporate career including CFO. Consulting for World Bank, UN, others at national and sector level. My work always involved the use of data as the basis for everything. 232

Role in IT

I have always used IT to the extent possible … but, bottom line ... the data we really need for planning and oversight of socio-economic progress is woefully inadequate. I want to have data as the foundation for TrueValueMetrics 230

I want to know how we can use big data and the available tools so that knowledge about every economic activity and every place on the planet is a click away! Data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting of state, progress and performance 242

What role for IT

The power of modern IT is amazing, but not being used much for P4 ... people, place, planet and profit, but only for profit and things we do not know about! IT has the potential to be a game changer. 199
