Ideas
Marxism revisited by Professor David Harvey

TrueValueMetrics should be seeking to collaborate with Professor Harvey

COMMENTARY
I have recently watched some of the lectures given by Professor David Harvey subsequent to his publication of his book 'The Enigma of Capitalism'

He presents himself as a near Marxist, but he is only a Marxist insofar as he has been a student of Marx and has then looked at modern capitalism with a completely open mind. In fact, he seems to have done with Marx, what I have done on a way less rigorous basis with Adam Smith.

When modern capitalism is examined closely it is seriously flawed with Adam Smith's invisible hand which is meant to function through the market now being completely controlled by forces of self-interest that serve the economic elite at the expense of everyone else.

My intent is to integrate Professor Harvey's ideas into the framework of metrics developing as TrueValueMetrics ... and if possible, to do this in collaboration with him. He is presently teaching in New York at the CUNY Graduate School.
