The One-Straw Revolution

The seminal natural farming book, The One-Straw Revolution, by Masanobu Fukuoka, was published by Rodale Press in 1978.

Larry Korn, a student of Fukuoka's, helped translate and edit the English language version of The One-Straw Revolution. Larry has continued to promote the teachings and philosophy of Fukuoka during his career as a natural farming educator, consultant, editor and author.

The New York Review of Books republished the English language translation in celebration of it's 30th Anniversary in June 2009. A 30th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo, Japan featured remarks by Larry Korn about his experience as a student of Fukuoka, the process of translating the book and its impact on the world.

In celebration of the republication, Larry will be touring and speaking about The One-Straw Revolution throughout the Pacific Northwest throughout 2011. He will also be teaching a number of permaculture-related courses and seminars. See Calendar of Events.
