Definitions for TrueValueMetrics
Social Progress

Social progress is a lot more than money profit growth for business organizations, it is about more peace and the prosperity of people and the community.

Knowledge about science and technology has improved exponentially over the past 50 years along a trajectory driven by, inter alia, Moore's Law.

For most of the world's working people ... middle class and below ... times are tougher. Why is this?

Performance of leadership ... of public policy and its practice ... has been poor.

Understanding the dynamics of money profit performance in the business organization has helped the corporate world improve their productivity performance way beyond what was expected ... and this productivity improvement translated into more profit and more stockholder value. The metrics for this were all that the corporate stakeholders needed.

In the broader society, the metrics were inadequate. There are complex dynamics about the valuadd associated with economic activity. For esample. what social advantage arises from a job in one country versus a job in another country ... what is the accounting for this?

Data for the valuadd behavior is needed as well as the data for money profit.
